Liz Carmouche more than likely cemented her place in a title fight the next time she walks to the Bellator cage.

In the co-main event of Friday night’s Bellator 261 event, Carmouche took on Kana Watanabe in a potential flyweight title eliminator bout at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn.

While many fans expected a closely contested battle, Carmouche made sure that didn’t happen with a blistering 35-second KO win over Watanabe, her first finish via strikes since stopping Jessica Andrade at UFC on FOX 8 in July 2013.

Carmouche is now 3-0 since coming over to Bellator after a 10-fight stint in the UFC, which included headlining the first women’s title fight in UFC history against Ronda Rousey at UFC 157. With the performance, “Girl-Rilla” should earn a title opportunity against the winner of the Bellator 262 main event between Juliana Velasquez and Denise Kielholtz.

Watanabe suffered the first loss of her pro career.
