Sean Brady vs. Kevin Lee rebooked for Aug. 28 UFC event
UFC officials announced on Thursday that the welterweight matchup between Brady and Lee will now take place at the promotion’s event on Aug. 28. The fight was supposed to take place at UFC 264 next Saturday in Las Vegas, but Lee was forced to withdraw due to an injury.
Brady has won all 14 of his pro bouts, includin a 4-0 start to his UFC career. The Philadelphia native enters the contest ranked No. 14 in the promotion’s 170-pound rankings and owns back-to-back submission wins over Christian Aguilera and Jake Matthews.
Lee will return to action for the first time since his March 2020 submission loss to Charles Oliveira. “Motown Phenom” suffered a torn ACL in his knee that required major surgery. Just three months after that initial surgery, Lee was forced to go back under the knife for an ACL replacement in his opposite knee.
The UFC’s Aug. 28 event does not have an officially announced location or venue but is expected to take place at the UFC APEX.
