Pro tip for everyone out there: don’t try and pick a fight with a former UFC champion. The best-case scenario is you look like an idiot.

Over the weekend, former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping was in New Orleans with his family when he was allegedly assaulted by a stranger. According to Bisping, the unknown assailant got in his face and then punched him. Fortunately for this person, “The Count” said he took the high road and didn’t swing back.

was just assaulted guy got in my face for filming on a public street. I told him to go away and he punched me was literally so soft I laughed at him,So funny that someone that acts so tough hits like such a bitch, I laughed and walked away. Man I’m mature these days

Though his pride was likely wounded for failing to do more than amuse the guy he hit, that’s actually a good outcome for the unnamed assailant in this situation. In his younger days, Bisping admits to getting in a number of public scraps, and even did a one-month stint in prison for a bar fight during his youth. Fortunately, an older and wiser Bisping contented himself with simply mocking his assailant on social media.

I was literally laughing so hard at how pathetic the punch was I don’t think I could of hit him https://t.co/D1k7MebhqM

Quite the journey.

5 years ago I overdosed and died (twice), 2 years ago I made it to UFC Contender Series and lost, but 3 weeks ago I made my debut and set a record. Don’t let mistakes and losses define you. Every day is a new chance to be better than you were.
